Our CEO

Jackie Sharp CEO

Dr. Jackie Sharp

CEO

Dr. Jackie Sharp is the Chief Executive Officer at Lakeside.  In this capacity, she coordinates the official activities of the Board and carries out its policies and directives.  She coordinates, develops and designs all fund-raising activities in cooperation with the Board.   She also initiates and designs programs, and maintains the agency as an appropriate statewide image.

Dr. Sharp passionately works to ensure that children and families under the agency’s care are provided appropriate care and guidance.

​

Dr. Sharp preserves the assets of the agency and ensure all gifts and income are utilized prudently, effectively and efficiently,

​

Dr. Sharp develops and presents an annual written report of all activities of the agency to the Board.  She also keeps abreast of the current trends in child welfare, human services, funding, public relations and voluntary not-for-profit management, and investments.

​

Dr. Sharp served as the Interim Executive Director from February 2008-May 2008 before appointment as the Chief Executive Officer.

Our Board President

Ms. Josephine Glover

Board President

Ms. Josephine Glover is the Board President at Lakeside.  In this capacity she coordinates meeting of the Board of Directors with the CEO and Senior Management where updates of the State of the Agency are presented.  Upon hearing the present status of the Agency, Ms. Glover leads the Board of Directors in making important decisions to enhance and progress the mission and vision of Lakeside.

Ms. Glover tirelessly assists the Agency by serving in this position as Board President.  Her leadership continues to help the Agency succeed in delivering services and programs to our clients.

​

Ms. Glover is a retired educator.  She serves faithfully in various capacities at her church and in her community.

​

Attentiveness

Lakeside Community Committee is attentive to the details of the needs and necessities of out clients and the community we serve.

​

We are constantly developing programs to satisfy the ever evolving requirements of our clients according to the changing guidelines of the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, the governing body under which we are licensed and predominantly funded.

​

We have a permanent goal to bring value to our clients by ensuring that we communicate a common goal to be reached in their circumstance.
